I recently taught a Grasshopper workshop at Parsons the New School for Design (to a bunch of great participants!) and wanted to make the resources (definitions, rhino files and videos) I developed available to everyone. There aren't many learning resources out there for novice Grasshopper users, so I hope this can be useful to designers wishing to learn more about the software.
The workshop was broken down into 2 parts. The first part focused on grasshopper definitions that are based on design patterns found in Robert Woodbury's excellent 'Elements of Parametric Design". His patterns were implemented in Generative Components, so here I have adapted them to Grasshopper. The second part of the worskhop covered more intermediate concepts and skills. They included definitions for a skyscraper, a spiral staircase and a responsive facade. The objective of part 2 was to learn how to implement some of the abstract design patterns using more concrete examples.
