The lazycutter has been wrapped up as a grasshopper component and should be faster than the previous C# script component. I have been a bit rusty creating custom components (the last time I did it was before Rhino Commons came out) so a big shout out to Giulio Piacentino for his help with the making of this component. Here is a video showing how the lazycutter should be set up. Firstly, look for it under the 'Extras' tab in Grasshopper. It takes in 4 inputs:
- Curves to Cut - Each individual profile curve should be joined i.e. not made up of multiple sub-curves.
- Labels - A list of strings/numbers that correspond to the Curves to be Cut
- Sheet - Use an orthogonal rectangle as an input (drawn on XY plane). Make it the size of your cut sheet (minus the padding in (4))
- Offset - Padding around each cut-sheet.
Make sure that the (1) and (2) have the same data structure. You can use a 3D text tag to visualize the labels. I have not tested the component extensively, so let me know what bugs/problems/weirdness it has and I will correct it
